Underseer is an engineering-focused company building passive sensing systems for sensitive environments. Work is conducted through limited, scoped engagements designed to validate performance under real conditions.
Systems designed to observe environments without emitting signals, interfering with operations, or altering conditions.
Hardware and software are optimized for quiet operation over extended periods with minimal maintenance. Power, thermal, and signal footprints are treated as first-order constraints.
Designed for industrial, regulated, and security-sensitive environments rather than consumer or experimental use. Deployment assumptions prioritize reliability, longevity, and operator oversight.
Underseer systems are not transitioned into operational use without a completed pilot phase, documented validation findings, and an explicit decision by the operator to proceed. This requirement is foundational to how systems are designed, evaluated, and engaged, and is not waived for schedule, scale, or convenience.
Systems are installed in a limited configuration within a defined operational area. Scope is intentionally constrained to expose real conditions without assuming completeness.
System behavior is observed under normal operations to establish reliable baselines and identify environmental sensitivities. Calibration prioritizes conservative behavior over sensitivity.
Results are reviewed with operators, who determine whether and how the system proceeds. All decisions remain external to the system.
